Position Summary:
Responsible for prompt and accurate entry of all cash receipts. Process company AR invoices and credit memos. Deduction management and account dispute resolution. Collection of past-due accounts. Perform analysis on the creditworthiness of new accounts, including new account set-up. Review customer accounts to release orders for shipment. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Accounting Manager.
Our Accounts Receivable Specialist will:
- Complete invoicing for all orders promptly and send invoices to respective customers—processing of credit memos.
- Prepare and post cash receipts for Food Warming Equipment, which include ACH’s, wires, credit card payments, and checks utilizing relevant system platforms. Communicate as needed with our bank to resolve discrepancies with respect to deposits received.
- Charge/Refund customer credit card payments.
- Review customer credit prior to shipment of orders.
- Collection of past-due accounts. Deduction management and collection of said owed deductions. Account dispute resolution, this will require extensive communication with sales, customer service, service, shipping, accounting, and external FWE customers.
- Setup of both domestic and international customer accounts that includes gathering required documents and review of creditworthiness based on specified criteria and consulting with Management when necessary.
- Ensure customer rebate programs credit memos are issued and reported in accordance with contracts established with our customers.
- Assist with freight invoice corrections and freight claims.
- Perform any additional duties, tasks or projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Organized & detail oriented
- High energy and strong work ethic within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
Educational or Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years receivable and cash posting experience.
- An associate degree in business, accounting, or the equivalent experience is required.
Physical Demands of this job:
- The qualified individual must regularly sit, stand, or walk. The employee use hand/fingers to handle or touch, including frequent keyboarding. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. There are no special vision requirements for this job
