If you are hired, you will:
- Run power for equipment installation/relocation, including wiring transformers, panels, running conduit, etc.
- Repair and maintain various equipment/coordinate with outside vendors for maintenance on equipment such as CNC press brakes, lasers, compressors, saws, welders, shear, wire machine, deburr machine, etc.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct preventive maintenance on machinery/equipment
- Order parts required for maintenance of machinery/equipment
- Be available to perform scheduled maintenance outside of scheduled production time
- Be available to work overtime during the week/on weekend/during shutdown as needed for emergency repairs, completing improvement projects, etc.
- Facility maintenance as assigned
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong commercial electrician background required.
- 3 years hands-on experience maintaining CNC equipment preferred.
- Experience repairing/maintaining other equipment such as lasers, waterjet cutter, compressors, saws, welders, shear, wire machine, deburr machine, etc.
- Experience with electrical including 110/120/230/480 volt.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical problems.
- Ability to weld and fabricate fixtures, etc.
- Ability to read wire diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as squares, tape measures, level, multi-meter, etc.
- Ability to use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, as well as shop machinery such as welder, plasma cutter, drill press, lathe, etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written. Must be detail-oriented, well organized, conscientious, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of safety and industrial hygiene to ensure compliance.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relationships
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, professionalism and teamwork skills.
Physical Demands of this job are:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand and fingers to handle or touch, talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulders, climb or balance.
- The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell, use foot/feet to operate machine.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. This employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50-100 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
